The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has introduced a significant reform in India’s export compliance framework by mandating complete digitalisation of the Certificate of Origin (CoO) issuance process.
This change has been brought through Public Notice No. 01/2026-27 dated 07 April 2026, amending Para 2.90 of the Handbook of Procedures (HBP) 2023, and is effective immediately.
